It looks like an amazing weekend to hide inside and work on Science Fair! Make sure to keep warm and stay safe.

High School Transfers:

The regular high school transfer process opens online February 1 to March 15 for the next school year: https://cbe.ab.ca/registration/transfers/high-school-transfers/Pages/default.aspx

RTA Science Fair:

We are currently looking for community volunteers to help judge science fair projects on Friday, January 26, 2024.
If you are able to help out, please contact Ms. Burkell at kjburkell@cbe.ab.ca.

Kitchen Donations:

Given the extreme cold weather, are you, perhaps inspired, to do some early spring-cleaning? The RTA staff will gladly accept any mis-matched kitchen supplies for the staffroom (as things tend to go missing every year)! Specifically, we are hoping for spoons (always spoons) and soup/cereal bowls.

RTA’s Open House AND Celebration of Learning are on Thursday, January 25, 2024.
RTA Open House (for new families):
- 6:00 – 6:45 PM Presentation in the Gym
- 6:45 – 7:45 PM Self Guided Tour
RTA Celebration of learning (for existing families)
- 6:00 – 7:00 PM Self Guided Tour of the learning in the building

Solaro | Alberta Curriculum Study Guides:

Solaro, for all Calgary Library members, is a wonderful digital resource for lessons, review, and practice tests for students in grades 3 – 12.
Solaro follows the Alberta curriculum and provides online access to the same information found in the key study guides.

Attendance:

We thank you for your patience with attendance in the mornings.
Late Buses: If a student not at the school at 8:55 due to a late bus, they are marked absent until the bus arrives at the school. With 675 students, and multiple late buses, there is not always enough time to change the AB to a Late – Bus, prior to the automatic attendance going out to families. We understand the frustrations that this causes informed that your child is AB when they are may be at school). We are working with our Auto Attendant Department to update the time, to reduce frustration.
