We are so excited to welcome everyone back for the first week of school! There are always a few nerves mixed in with the excitement at the start of a new year, and we know students, families, and staff may all be feeling a little bit of both.
We are looking forward to seeing our students, reconnecting with families, building new relationships, and beginning what we hope will be a wonderful year together. Thank you for being part of our school community. We can’t wait to get started!
A separate message will be sent shortly with information about athletics, including forms, schedules, and important details. Soccer and cross-country will be getting underway soon, so please watch for that communication and be sure to review the information carefully.
2026 - 27 RTA School Council:
· We encourage all parents and guardians to get involved with our School Council. Council meetings are a great opportunity to stay connected, learn more about what is happening at the school, and share your voice. · We also have our school casino coming up in December, and parent volunteers will be an important part of making it a success. We hope you will consider joining us at a council meeting and getting involved! SAVE THE DATE: RTA Casino Fundraiser: December 17 and 18, 2026 at ACE Casino
Healthy Hunger:
· RTA offers Healthy Hunger a couple of times each month, along with school snack opportunities throughout the year. Please check the school website for upcoming food dates and registration information: Lunchtime - R. T. Alderman School
Office Fish Aquarium:
· We are looking for a knowledgeable parent volunteer to help us refresh our fish tank! The water needs to be replaced, and we would love some help making the tank a healthier and more enjoyable environment for our fish. If you have experience with aquariums and would be willing to lend a hand, we would really appreciate it! Just reach out to me at bclewis@cbe.ab.ca
