Good evening, RTA Ravens,

As we head into the long weekend, excited for the weather and an extra bit of rest, I just wanted to shout out a huge thank you to everyone – students, staff and families – for an amazing start up and an awesome first two days of school! As a few very wise grade 6 students shared, “Ms. Lewis, you look SOO much better,” it would seem that the break was need and now I am back on track! With soccer, cross-country and basketball coming up, it will be a busy month!

• The RTA Online Spirt Wear remains open this week so that students are able to purchase RTA hoodies, t-shirts, and much, much more!
• Every year brings a special, brand new colour, so make sure to check out the store link below.

Healthy Hunger: September Schedule:

• Please note that grade 7-9s will often have a different Healthy Hunger date than grade 5s & 6s. (We understand that this may not be ideal for everyone, however, it is required with such a large population of students.) 
• If you have made a food order on a field experience day, please remind your child to pick their food up at the end of the day, as per school protocol. (For health and safety reasons, we cannot hold food longer than 24 hours).
• If you forgot to make a Healthy Hunger order before the deadline, please do not place a Skip the Dishes or Door Dash order to the school. Schools do not allow food orders from outside agencies. 
• If you have any questions or concerns regarding Healthy Hunger, please let us know (rtalderman@cbe.ab.ca); we will follow up as quickly as possible.

If you click on an account option and do not see this year's homerooms listed, this is not the correct account.

Receiving School Messenger?

A few families shared that they are not
receiving any school communications. For the most part, it was because the
school messages were blocked.

Our web-support team has
shared the following information: "Blocks
can happen if you intentionally or accidentally tag an email as spam
or junk, or sometimes email servers sense that an email is coming from an
electronic mailing system and try to save you from the spam and the system
blocks our emails. It can be helpful if you add your usual senders to your
address book, then your system will recognize the messages as safe and not flag
them as spam, (your teacher's email addresses, or the schools email
address) who-ever usually sends the messages. If you also add
cbecommunications@cbe.ab.ca that will help to ensure you receive system
messages."
