Welcome to a new school year! We are so excited to see our students back in the building, ready for learning, rising to new opportunities, and reconnecting with friends. The first week is always full of energy and excitement, and our staff are committed to helping every student feel settled, supported, and ready for a successful year ahead!
Summer Band Instrument Returns:
· Please return all summer instrument rentals to Ms. Gray by Friday, Sept. 5.
Personal Mobile Device Policy:
· Welcome back to another exciting school year. As a reminder, last year the Government of Alberta introduced a Ministerial Order requiring school divisions to restrict personal mobile device and social media use. CBE and RT Alderman School implemented these changes effective August 29, 2024.
Grade 6-9 Middle School Athletic Forms:
· If your child is interested in trying out for a Middle School Athletic team, please fill out and sign the attached form.
· Completed forms can be returned to Ms. Leung or the front desk.
· Students in Grades 6–9 trying out for school sports must let their parents/guardians know ahead of time and have a pick-up ride arranged after practice.
· Thank you for your cooperation and support!
First Day of School Muster Points:
· Grade 5 – Outside in the front of the school
· Grade 6 – Inside the gym
· Grade 7 – Behind the school, on the compound, near the portables
· Grade 8 & 9 – Go straight to their designated classroom
RTA Spirit Wear:
· We’re excited to announce that our school spirit wear store is officially open! Families can browse a variety of clothing and accessories to help students (and parents!) show their school pride.
· Orders can be placed online at https://store.vbsapparel.ca/rt_alderman_school_store/shop/home.
· The store will close on September 14th with spirit wear items being delivered in 3-4 weeks, and quick turnaround sports team items being delivered in 2 weeks.
· Please be sure to include your child’s name in your order.
