Good evening, Ravens,
Wishing everyone a well-deserved, restful weekend after a whirlwind of learning, athletics, and Halloween excitement! Hats off to our Grade 9 students for their spook-tacular bake sale success, and a big shout-out to the dance committee for setting the stage (and the dance floor) for not one, but two dances. A huge thanks as well for all those food donations—your kindness makes a real impact! Friendly nudge from the Eco Club: remember, Monday is litter-less lunch day, so let’s keep it green!
Lockdown:
- This morning, we conducted our first lockdown drill of the school year.
- Students and staff conducted themselves with exceptional poise and showed that they recognize the gravity of this type of situation.
- We take the safety of all students and staff with utmost seriousness.
- During lockdown drills at RT Alderman, one police officer and one member of school administration enters each space in the school, with police providing feedback to students and staff regarding how to be as safe as possible during a lockdown event.
- As we do after all lockdown drills, we will share observations and best practices with Raven staff, to ensure we are prepared to protect our students and one another in the event of unforeseen emergencies
RTA Wall of Fame:
Dear RTA Families: we are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity to celebrate your child's achievements on our new “RTA Wall of Fame”! Our goal is to foster community, belonging, and pride by recognizing (“R”) their talents (“T”) and achievements (“A”) outside of school.
