Good evening, Raven families,
It has been wonderful to see both staff and students settling back into routines and learning.
A huge thank you to Dr. Gray, our Remembrance Day director, and Mr. Newman for organizing two beautiful assemblies today. We are so fortunate to have our own Mr. Bykovskikh share his experiences as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces. The Grade 9 Band, the Grade 9 MCs, and the Grade 6 readers were outstanding, and our students were thoughtful and respectful listeners throughout both ceremonies.
Wishing everyone a happy Fall Break filled with adventure, family, friends, and plenty of rest and relaxation!

- Scooters and skateboards may come into the school and should be stored in school lockers.
- Bikes, skateboards, scooters and inline skates may be used as transportation to and from school, but they cannot be used during the lunch hour, nor can they be used on the sidewalks surrounding the school during school hours.
- Students riding bikes must dismount and walk their bike to the bike lock area.

The PVA application process is open between November 1 and March 15.
- Please check their website for all it offers at www.pvacentral.ca.
Grade 9 CTF Supplies Needed:
- Our Grade 9 students in Mr. Lee’s CTF Environmental Stewardship class are currently working on a project focused on plastics in our world. As part of this learning experience, students will require A LOT plastic materials and items for their project, and we need your help! We are needing various unwanted, used (clean and rinsed) or unused plastic items from home, or around your community!
We kindly ask for your help by collecting plastic materials such as:
- Plastic bags
- Plastic cutlery, bowls, cups, straws (clean and rinsed please!)
- Plastic containers
- Plastic toys (large, small, broken, etc.)
- Any other plastic “junk” items that would normally be recycled, donated, or thrown away!
We will require these plastic items as soon as possible! Mr. Lee will be collecting these items over time, so please feel free to drop them off in the Art room whenever items are gathered. With Fall Break approaching, this is a great opportunity to clean up around the house while contributing to our students’ learning!
Thank you very much for supporting our learning! With gratitude, Mr. Lee!
