Good afternoon, RTA families,

Happy Friday the 13th! It has been an amazing week at RTA. Our volleyball finals wrapped up, and our teams and coaches represented the school incredibly well. We are very proud of their hard work, teamwork, and dedication throughout the season. Our Grade 7 students also led a very successful fundraising effort this week, culminating with the very entertaining and well-received Pie a Teacher event, which brought lots of laughter to the school, while raising funds for a new water station in the Grade 7 hallway. As part of our Pi Day fun, students in each homeroom competed to memorize the most digits of pi, with the top student from each class entered into a raffle. The lucky winner earned the opportunity to pie Mr. Newman! We also welcomed our Grade 9 students back today from their outdoor school experience. They returned with many stories, and we appreciate the staff who supported this meaningful learning opportunity. Thank you for helping make it such a positive and spirited week at RTA. Have a wonderful weekend!

Spring Locker Clean Up:

  • Students will be taking time this week to clean out their lockers before spring break.
  • Students will be encouraged to recycle any unneeded paper and bring home items that are no longer needed at school.
  • Lost and found items will be placed out for students to check. Any remaining items will be donated on March 30.

Parent Teacher Conferences:

  • Parent teacher conferences are intended to be a brief opportunity to connect, celebrate student learning, and discuss a few next steps for growth. With conferences scheduled in short time blocks, they are designed to provide a quick snapshot of how students are doing and to highlight some of the progress they are making in class.
  • We recognize that ten minutes is a limited amount of time and may not allow for deeper conversation about every aspect of a student’s learning. If you have additional questions or would like to discuss something in more detail, we encourage you to reach out to your child’s classroom teacher via email.
