Week in a Glance: June 8 – June 12 

While the weather may not have cooperated this week, resulting in the cancellation of both our Track and Field Meet and football tournament, there is still much to celebrate. On Wednesday evening, our students put on an outstanding band concert, under Dr. Gray’s leadership, showcasing their hard work and musical talents. We were also fortunate that the rain cleared and the sun made an appearance just in time for our Grade 9 Celebration at Heritage Park on Thursday. Students enjoyed the rides, followed by a delicious dinner and an evening of dancing, making for a memorable experience as they near the end of their time at RTA. We wish all our families a wonderful weekend! 

RTA 2025-2026 Yearbook:

• Limited copies of the 2025-2026 RTA Yearbook are available for purchase.
• If you are interested in purchasing one of the remaining copies, ensure you have been added to the waitlist by Tuesday June 09, 2026.
• Information regarding confirmation and payment will be sent to those on the waitlist who have joined the waitlist by end of day Tuesday.

RTA Field Experiences:

• An important component of our Science Alternative Program is participation in field experiences and outdoor learning opportunities. These experiences are intentionally designed to support curriculum outcomes, build scientific literacy, and provide students with authentic, hands-on learning that extends beyond the classroom.
• While we understand that circumstances may occasionally prevent a student from attending a particular field experience, these opportunities are considered a required part of the program rather than optional enrichment activities. As such, the costs associated with field experiences are factored into the overall program planning and Science Program fees for all students.
• We recognize that every learner and family has unique needs and circumstances. If you have questions or concerns about your child's participation in field experiences, we encourage you to connect with us. We are always happy to discuss how we can best support your child and ensure the program remains a positive and successful fit for their learning journey. 

Lost and Found:

• Our Lost and Found collection has grown considerably over the past few months!
• Next week, all Lost and Found items will be displayed in the school foyer to give students an opportunity to look through and claim any missing belongings.
• We encourage families to remind their children to check the display, if they are missing clothing, water bottles, lunch containers, or other personal items.
• Any unclaimed items will be packaged up at the end of day on Monday, June 8, 2026.
