Happy Friday, Raven families,
It hard to believe that next week is June already. With Track and Field, School Council, Grade 9 Farewell, the Talent Show, and Football, it looks like another busy week at RTA!
Middle School Track and Field Parent Volunteers Needed!
· We are still looking for parent volunteers to help supervise the Track Meet on Tuesday at 8:30 – 4:15 PM.
· If you are interested in helping out, please contact Ms. Braben at bebraben@cbe.ab.ca.
Mandatory Talent Show Rehearsal:
· The Mandatory Talent Show Dress Rehearsal is on Wednesday at 9:00 AM in the RTA gym for all performers, MC's and stage crew.
· Performers must have all their required materials (music, mats, equipment, etc.) for the dress rehearsal.
· Please email kegray@cbe.ab.ca with any questions.
Grade 7 – 9 Career and Technology Foundations (CTF):
· Career and Technology Foundations (CTF) is an inquiry based, hands-on, complementary program of study that is based on 14 learning outcomes that are applicable to all 28 occupational areas. CTF replaces traditional options at RTA.
· CTF is organized within five clusters; Business, Communication, Resources, Technology, and Human Services, that align with the Career and Technology Studies (CTS) clusters.
· CTF challenges or tasks that integrate at least two occupational areas, honor student diversity and provide students with an opportunity to experience meaningful, authentic exploration and interconnectedness of skills, knowledge and technologies associated with various occupational areas.
· Please see the RTA 2024-25 CTF Cluster Rotation below (which is different from last year, as students were enrolled into a more general multi-cluster CTF module).
· Students in Grade 7-9, rotate through four CTF Clusters per year, two per semester. Students, who take Band, replace two CTF Clusters per year.

Transportation Update – Change in AM Bus Stop:
· Due to concerns regarding morning traffic and student safety, a decision has been made to move the bus stop to the end of the road, by Maple Ridge School.
· This bus stop is the same bus stop that RTA students use at the end of the day.
· The door at the back of the building – aka the “portable door” will be unlocked in the mornings, as well as the front entrance.
· This change will, hopefully, foster safety for our bused and non-bused students.
· Representatives of CBE Transportation and Traffic Safety Advisory are also advocating for a cross walk in front of the main entrance. Stay tuned!
