Good afternoon, Raven families,

Wishing everyone a wondering winter weekend, filled with snow adventures and hot chocolate!

RTA’s 2025-2026 SDP & 2024-2024 SIRR:

·       Please note that the following documents have been posted to our school website: the RTA 2025–2026 School Development Plan (SDP) and the RTA 2024–2025 School Improvement Results Report (SIRR).

·       We have so much to celebrate, and we also have important work ahead, as we continue to grow and improve as a school community.

·       We welcome any questions with respect to the SDP and SIRR, and we will continue the conversation at our School Council meetings after winter break.

RT Alderman Food Donation Drive - One Item Makes a Big Difference!

·       The Grade 7 Holiday Event Community is excited to launch our school-wide Food Donation Drive to support individuals and families in need this season.

·       At RT Alderman, we have hundreds of students and staff in our building.
If every person brings just one non-perishable food item or canned good, together we can collect hundreds of items — enough to support multiple families in our community.

·       We are asking each homeroom to begin collecting donations starting this week.

·       A Grade 7 student representative will visit homerooms regularly to pick up the items.

·       Suggested donations include:

    • Canned vegetables, soups, beans, or meats
    • Pasta, rice, cereal
    • Nut-free snacks
    • Shelf-stable milk
    • Other non-perishable items

·       Thank you for helping us make a meaningful difference.
Let’s show what our school community spirit looks like — one item at a time!

Lost and Found:

·       Please take a moment to remind your child to check the Lost and Found, or feel free to stop by the school yourself (during a pickup or drop off)!

·       We will be packing up any remaining Lost and Found items and donating them to families in need on Monday, December 15, 2025.

RTA Wall of Fame:

The Grade 5's have rocked our RTA WALL OF FAME, and now it's time to celebrate our Grade 6 Ravens!

Let's continue to build a community of belonging by RECOGNIZING (“R”) student TALENTS (“T”) and ACHIEVEMENTS (“A”) outside of their school experience.

This will be a chance for your child to bring in items of celebration they have achieved within 2024 - current year. These items may include:

  1. Medals, ribbons, or small trophies of achievement (music, community sports, etc.)
  2. Photo(s) of your child in action or celebrating an accomplishment
  3. Artwork from home
  4. Creative literature (poems, songs, etc.)
  5. Any other items you can think of to celebrate your child’s effort and accomplishments!

Each grade will have an allotted time to highlight items of celebration. All items will be displayed in an enclosed display case in our hallway. Items will be returned to your child after their scheduled month.

Grade 6 – December – mid February

Grade 7 – Mid February - March

Grade 8 – April - May

Grade 9 – May - June

Please ensure all items are labeled with your child’s name and homeroom number. All items are to be directly submitted to Mr. Lee.

We are looking forward to celebrate your child at RTA School!
